Greta Thunberg will be the first Swedish person to be awarded the nature and animal organization The Perfect World Foundation’s honorary award, The Perfect World Award, “The Conservationist of the Year”.
The prize is awarded annually and among previous award winners are Dr Jane Goodall and BBC producer Sir David Attenborough.
“Greta receives the award for having succeeded in creating global awareness of the climate issue,” says Ragnhild Jacobsson, CEO of The Perfect World Foundation.
